The Human Race Poem

The Human Race
The Bible says we have a special covenant with God
That we were chosen and made in His image
Our birthright is domination of the word of animals and things
Those whose destiny is to rule the Earth
So much has been done and perpetrated in the name of this myth
The blood soaked history of Man
And our infestation is now so great
We may have already tipped the balance leading to our own extinction
But fear not, the land endures
The sum will feed us warmth and energy for the eons to come
Man and all his works will be shrug off
A bad memory with a trail of trash to recycle
Lose your pride, shake off this myth
Put the works of man in their place
We are each as insignificant as a pine needle on floor of the forest
Give your life as compost for the world to come
